A composite science lab combines elements of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology into a single, versatile laboratory space, typically used in schools for students up to the 10th standard. Biology Laboratory
Biology lab is an important aspect of Medical stream. Our biology lab is a place where children can nurture their inquisitiveness and enhance their scientific quests.
The separate biology lab offers a conductive teaching learning experience for students of all classes.
“Learning by doing” is the mantra of our biology lab. It is fully equipped with apparatus which are helpful for students to perform various activities. Biological specimens are kept for student’s knowledge and understanding. The purpose of the activities is to help the students to review the material that already has been studied in the class or in text. It will extend their knowledge beyond the class work or textbook reading.
SST LAB
At Guru Nanak Girls Senior Secondary School, the SST Lab (Social Science Lab) is designed to make the learning of History, Geography, Civics, and Economics more engaging, interactive, and practical.
The lab is equipped with maps, globes, models, charts, historical timelines, and audio-visual aids that help students visualize and understand various concepts. From exploring ancient civilizations to understanding the political system, and from studying landforms to analyzing economic trends — the SST Lab turns theory into real-world insight.
Students actively participate in activities like model-making, map-reading, role-plays, debates, and group discussions which enhance their analytical and presentation skills. The lab also encourages awareness about social issues, environmental concerns, and the role of responsible citizenship.
Chemistry Lab
Chemistry is the branch of science that studies the composition, properties and interaction of matter. Chemistry plays a central role in science and is often intertwined with other branches of science like Physics, Biology, Geology etc.
But Chemistry without practical knowledge is like a body without soul. Therefore our school Chemistry lab is fully equipped with all modern science instruments which conform to specifications laid down by CBSE and NCERT. Plus special care is taken to prevent any kind of mishap or accident occurring in Chemistry lab by providing first aid on the spot. The lab instructor is very well trained and has been working with the institution for the several years. The students are provided with opportunities to inhale, visualize salts, acids etc to remember their properties well.

Library
Guru Nanak Girls Sr. Sec. School has a spacious library well stocked & well furnished, the number of books increasing with each passing year. The library has sections ranging from textbooks and reference books to fiction and general knowledge. There are a variety of books available for students of all levels on various subjects, literature, travel etc. The school subscribes newspapers and magazines to enable students to gain knowledge and develop interest in reading.
The students are encouraged to read good books to widen their interests and extend their mental horizon. Around 8 weekly and monthly magazines, 1 English and 3 Hindi Newspapers are available. The young scholars can refer to this storehouse of knowledge to cater for their intellectual pursuits.

Cleanliness
It is maintained under the supervision of a committee of teachers who look after the cleanliness and keep a check on the quality of goods catered to the students. The prices of each article is displayed in the canteen.
Math Lab
At Guru Nanak Girls Senior Secondary School, the Mathematics Lab provides students with hands-on learning experiences through practical activities. Here, students perform experiments, use models, and learn mathematical concepts in an interesting and interactive way. The lab helps in developing logical thinking, creativity, and real-life problem-solving skills.
Computer Lab
Technology advancement has affected every sphere of life especially education. This has changed our perception of what a school should provide for its students. In times of booming technology the computer labs at Guru Nanak Girls Sr. Sec. School provide the appropriate platform of the students to be future technocrats.
The school has a contemporary computer lab that is designed to meet the child’s Information Technology needs. Trained and experienced teachers provide both theoretical and practical lessons for students. Teachers provide individual attention while students work on the computer.
The computer labs is well equipped with computers and broadband internet connectivity for teachers and students. “A Computer terminal is not some clunky old television with a typewriter in front of it. It is an interface where the mind and body can connect with the universe and move bits about it.”
School Playground
The school has ample space for playing various games like Hockey, Football, Basket Ball, Badminton, Kho-Kho etc. As it is said “A healthy mind rests in a healthy body” – students are initiated to take part in games. Competitions are held periodically on class basis and at inter-house level. An Athletic Meet is also organised. Many students win medals at State level in hockey.
